How it works

  1. 01

    Set up once

Currency, units, labour cost per day, overheads, target margin and tax.

  2. 02

    Check your systems

Coverage, pack sizes and prices from your supplier's data sheets, plus your crew outputs.

  3. 03

    Enter the job

One row per area: pick the system and preparation, enter the m². Add coving, repairs, outlets and preliminaries.

  4. 04

    Check the rate build-up

Cost, margin and profit for every zone, days on site and a warning if margin is too low.

  5. 05

    Send the quote

A clean client quote with assumptions and exclusions, plus the materials order for your supplier.

Questions

What do I need to use it?

Microsoft Excel (Windows or Mac) or Google Sheets. No macros, no installs and no subscription.

Are the coverage rates and prices correct for my products?

They are typical industry figures to get you started, and the prices are examples. Replace them with your supplier's data sheets, price list and your own crew outputs. The quote shows a warning until you confirm you've done this.

Does it work with my currency and units?

Yes. Set any currency symbol and tax rate, and switch between metric (m², lm) and imperial (ft², linear feet).

Can I add my own systems?

Yes. There are blank custom systems, and every layer, coverage, pack size, price and output can be changed.

How does the margin work?

You set overheads and a target margin on the selling price. The rate build-up shows cost, margin and profit per zone, and warns you if the job falls below your minimum margin.

What if it isn't what I expected?
