SpecMatch Product Compliance Review · For suppliers, architects & engineers

Prove the product meets the spec.

Products get rejected, and orders lost, because nobody checked the data sheet against the specification line by line. We do, and give you a compliance schedule with page references, the gaps to close and a ready-to-send statement of compliance.

How it works

  1. Send the specification section and the data sheets, certificates and warranty for the products you propose. Any brand.
  2. We compare each requirement (thickness, strength, slip, chemical, cure, VOC, warranty and more) with what the data sheet states, and note the page of both.
  3. You get a compliance schedule (PDF and Excel), a list of gaps with how to close them, and a statement of compliance on your letterhead.

What each result means

  • Complies Complies with the requirements identified in the documents supplied.
  • Unclear No evidence of compliance located in the supplied data sheet.
  • Does not comply The product data states a value that does not meet the requirement.

SpecMatch checks evidence; it never states that a product is approved. Final approval belongs to the architect, engineer, consultant or client.

Questions

Do I need to give you all my data sheets first?

No. Send the specification section and the data sheets for the products you are proposing with each request. Suppliers on a monthly plan can keep a private product library with us.

Does it work for any brand?

Yes. We compare whatever the data sheet states with what the specification asks for, so it works for any manufacturer, in any country.

Is 'Complies' an approval?

No. It means the product data states a value that meets the requirement. Acceptance stays with the engineer or architect.

Who is it for?

Suppliers and manufacturers preparing submissions, and architects or engineers reviewing products proposed by contractors.
